Frequently Asked Questions
What is your service?
We provide safe and reliable rides for children to and from school, activities, and other approved destinations. Think of us as a trusted rideshare designed specifically with kids in mind.
How do I book a ride?
Rides must be scheduled and paid for at least 48 hours in advance. You can book single rides or save with weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly ride packages.
How much does a ride cost?
Each ride is $20 one-way (within 6 miles). Discounts are available for families who book rides in bulk or choose recurring scheduling.
What ages does KidGo service?
KidGo provides transportation services for children ages 2 and older.
Children must be at least 2 years old at the time services begin.
For safety and independence purposes, all riders must:
Be able to sit upright independently
Follow basic safety instructions
Remain properly seated and buckled during transport
KidGo reserves the right to determine if a child is developmentally ready for group transportation services.
Do weekly or monthly payments secure my child’s spot?
Yes.
Weekly and monthly payments are subscription-based and are required to secure and maintain your child’s reserved seat on their assigned route.
Your payment:
Reserves your child’s space on the vehicle
Covers route planning and driver availability
Ensures consistent transportation each week
Payments are due regardless of absences, as your child’s seat is being held exclusively for them.
What about single rides?
Single rides are:
Based strictly on availability
Not guaranteed
Do not reserve a recurring seat
Families who choose single rides understand that services may be unavailable if routes are full with weekly or monthly subscribers.
If consistent transportation is needed, weekly or monthly enrollment is strongly recommended.
Why This Policy Exists
KidGo operates on carefully structured routes with limited seating. To maintain reliability, safety, and fairness for all families:
Reserved riders receive priority.
Route stability allows us to keep pricing competitive.
Consistency ensures dependable service for working parents.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue growing while maintaining the highest level of service for our KidGo families.
How do parents track rides?
We’re excited to announce our partnership with KidShuttle! Parents will be able to track rides in real time, receive pickup and drop-off notifications, and communicate directly with the driver through the app. A “Coming Soon” page will keep you updated as we launch this new feature.
What happens if my child is sick?
To protect the health and safety of all riders and drivers, children who are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious illness, or are sent home from school due to illness may not ride with KidGo until symptom-free for at least 24 hours (without medication).
We understand that illness happens. To support families while maintaining operational stability, KidGo offers:
One (1) ride credit per rider, per month for illness-related absences.
Credits may also be issued if:
Rides are canceled by KidGo
Inclement weather prevents safe operation
School closures occur unexpectedly
Credits do not roll over month to month and are non-transferable.
Additional missed rides beyond the one monthly credit are not refunded.
Repeated last-minute cancellations outside of illness may result in service suspension.
Who are the drivers?
All drivers are thoroughly vetted with background checks, driving record screenings, and safety training. We treat your children’s safety like our own top priority.
Can I meet the driver before my child’s first ride?
Yes! We offer an introduction session so parents and kids can meet their driver before the first scheduled ride.
How will I know when my child is picked up or dropped off?
Parents will receive instant notifications through the KidShuttle app for every pickup and drop-off.
What safety measures are in place?
Drivers are trained and background-checked
Children are never left unattended at drop-off
GPS tracking for every ride
Direct parent-driver communication through the app
